Advertising v/s Public Relations
Media Relations, Healthcare Public Relations, Entertainment PR firms, Healthcare Public Relations, Communication Agency are all necessary for the survival of a business.
Advertising is a part of marketing that promotes a product, goods or services where a particular amount is paid to get the advertising space. The customer or consumer that is being targeted by the company in the name of advertising call this tactic as advertisement or ads in short.
This is a very crucial part of marketing as it involves communicating the USP or the unique selling proposition of a product to the target audience customers or consumers to attract them towards the product.
Advertising and public relations are often confused with each other and used interchangeably. Public relation majorly focuses on creating brand awareness and reputation. Advertisements focus on a specific target market and public relations focus on building the trust of the customers towards the company or the brand.
While purchasing or customising an advertisement the advertiser has full control over how he wants people to look at the brand and show the product as per his choice this isn't the same in the public relations. In public relations when working with media the control is very limited and it's completely dependent on how the media covers and presents the news.
The major objective of both Advertising and public relations is to communicate the necessary information but advertising is one way communication and public relations on the other hand is a two way communication.
Advertising focuses on promotion of the products to encourage people to purchase it and public relation mainly focuses and building a positive and trustworthy image of the company.
